Catering Team Scores 5 Stars
For a second year in a row, Yvonne Allison and her catering team have achieved the maximum possible 5 Stars from the East Hertfordshhire Environmental inspection. The surprise environmental inspection of the school catering facilities, managed by Holroyd Howe Independent, took place in November and once again, the school achieved a 5 Star rating. Mrs Allison expressed her delight as she knows how much effort she and her staff put into maintaining a safe food environment.
This complements the healthy eating policy in both Prep and Pre-Prep where the children and staff receive a balanced diet which is still fun and interesting. Lunch menus range from traditional roast to homemade pizzas and sticky toffee pudding to fruit salad. With the establishment of a separate kitchen in Pre-Prep, the dedicated chef can now cater for the different tastes of the younger children, including the Nursery pupils who enjoy lunch before heading home or staying on for afternoon care.
