Welcome Back!

After another successful period of remote learning, we were thrilled to welcome back our pupils and bring our buildings back to life.

Pupils and staff alike have delighted in seeing each other in person once again. Wellbeing and pastoral care was our first priority as we looked to make the transition from home to school as happy and relaxed as possible.  Assemblies celebrated how much the children have achieved during lockdown and looked to the weeks ahead and all the excitement and learning opportunities they hold.  Form teachers took pupils for walks to the River Beane and around the beautiful Woodhall Estate to allow children to spend time with each other and share their experiences.  They also organised team-building and fun, hands-on STEM activities to help ease the children back into the classroom.

In the dining rooms, children tucked into some scrumptious 'welcome back' cupcakes while tempting smells emerged once again from the Food Tech kitchens as Year 5 made cheese scones and Year 3 pupils baked bread.

The children needed no encouragement to get back into school sports and enjoyed an action-packed first day of lessons - watch the sport department's video HERE.

Behind the scenes, we are grateful to the incredible efforts of our support staff who stepped up to help with the Covid lateral flow testing, turning the sports hall into a makeshift test centre.
