All Heath Mount parents, guardians and staff are members of the du Maurier Society. Our aim is to foster a welcoming atmosphere of community and friendship between our members by organising social, fund-raising and other events for the benefit of agreed school projects and our nominated charities.
The du Maurier Society events and finances are managed by a committee consisting of 12 parents from various year groups. Each committee member serves a 2-year term. Each year 3 members are elected to take up the positions of Chair, Secretary and Treasurer. All members of the society are warmly encouraged to attend the annual general meeting at which committee members and the new officers are elected. All parents are eligible to volunteer to join the committee. Indeed this can be a great way to meet parents in other year groups, or to make friendships in your own year group.
Monies raised from du Maurier events are used to support agreed school projects, as well as our nominated charities.
