Head of Lower School

This is a new role at Heath Mount and candidates should refer to the attached job description and person specification. Heath Mount has recently undertaken a review of its management structure and this appointment comes about as a result of the consequent reorganisation.

Once all senior managers have been appointed, all members of the team will be invited to apply for the post of Senior Deputy.

The appointee will be part of a Senior Management Team (SMT) of 7 people. He or she will meet with this team on a weekly basis and will be expected to attend meetings outside term times as agreed by the team. The appointee will have responsibility for the day-to-day management of the Lower School (Pre-Prep and Year 3). This will involve meeting with current and prospective parents and managing staff, resources and facilities. The appointee will build on the current strengths of the department ensuring that it remains the school of first choice for prospective parents in the region.
