Year 3 Teacher

The appointee will have strengths in literacy and numeracy. He or she will be expected to teach a Year 3 group in literacy, Numeracy and humanities. Subject specialists deliver science, Art and Design, PE, games and music, although teachers’ particular strengths can always be accommodated. Setting allows pupils to be grouped by ability and group sizes vary from 6 to 18. Resources are excellent with networked interactive boards in each classroom and a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) to support and extend teaching and learning. The appointee will be expected to undertake training in the use of the VLE. There are three classes in Year 3 and the appointee will be supported by a friendly and dedicated team of teachers. The appointee will be expected to contribute to the activities programme where skills in music, drama, art or sport can be accommodated. There is no Saturday school with matches and most school events taking place during the week. Heath Mount is a terrific place to work and the appointee would enjoy the friendship and support of colleagues and the wider community.
