Performing Arts

Dance and drama are areas of excellence at Heath Mount and pupils have recently won awards to prestigious senior schools.
 
There are several drama productions each year and a House drama competition that encourages all to take part. The senior production aims to give pupils a West End experience and really extends our pupils.

Dance has a considerable following with boys and girls taking part. Our dance showcase might have as many as 100 dancers taking part. Standards are very high with several pupils going on to specialist dance schools.  The most recent showcase, Bustin' Boundaries, took place in February.

Music

Heath Mount is proud of its choirs and orchestra which cater for enthusiasts of all abilities. Music lessons start in Pre-Prep and music is developed up through the School. The outstanding Bax Choir were finalists in the 2006 BBC Songs of Praise Choir of the Year competition and our choir of 50 reached the finals again this year.  The Jospeh Choir achieved a top 20 placing in the BBCs Joseph Choir competition, which had more than 1000 entries. As well as singing, pupils can learn a range of instruments and there is an active drum group and occasional jazz band.
