Recreating The Great Fire Of London

Year 2 Time Travel Back To Pudding Lane, 1666

Following in the footsteps of hundreds of Heath Mount pupils before them, Year 2 children enjoyed a momentous day as they watched their homemade Tudor houses go up in flames in a thrilling recreation of The Great Fire Of London.  Staying faithful to the history books, our Forest School ranger began the fire in a bakery made by one of the pupils.  The children discussed why the 1666 fire had been so destructive and what materials are the most flammable!
