Dear Parents,

This week has been an exceptionally busy and exciting one. We started the week with the wonderful Orchestra and Ensembles evening concert where the diversity of instruments played and the quality of the music produced belied our pupils’ years. The standards easily matched those of several prestigious senior schools.

Thursday and Friday saw our Houses battle it out on the sports fields in typical good humour. All children played exceptionally well with Tristram winning the Year 5 & 6 netball and Galahad winning the Senior netball. Tristram were crowned champions in both the Year 5 & 6 and senior rugby. Year 3 & 4 results are shown below. Well done to all involved!

This morning we welcomed a BBC film crew to Heath Mount. They were here to film the Bax Choir and the school as part of the preparations for the televised BBC Songs of Praise Young Choir of the Year Final taking place in Bolton on Saturday 9th March. We hope that many of you will be able to come along and support us; tickets can be requested via the email SOPcongregations@avantimedia.tv, with a note to say that you are supporting Bax Choir, Heath Mount School.

I wish you all a very restful half term and look forward to welcoming you back in a week’s time.

Kind regards,

Chris Gillam

Headmaster
