Pre-Prep Newsletter 14th sept

Dear Parents,

Welcome to a new term in the Pre-Prep.

The start of the academic year is always an exciting one, and one that brings a great deal of anticipation. Children are becoming familiar with their new class, teachers and classmates and enjoying the challenges that a new school year brings. The beginning of the Michaelmas term can also be a tiring time, particularly for Nursery and Reception children, as they settle, negotiate friendships and learn routines. We are so pleased with all the children’s attitudes and efforts at the start of term, well done!

We have had lots of fun talking to the children about their summer adventures. The diaries that have come into school have been an amazing travelogue of all the exciting places that the children have visited. Thank you so much for all the effort you have put in to helping the children compile these diaries. So many of them are works of art that we are sure you will keep as memories for years to come.

We are looking forward to our annual School Open Morning on Saturday 29th September. We would like as many Year 1 and 2 children as possible, to volunteer to come into school between 9.00am and 12.30pm; where they will have the opportunity to participate in some exciting and fun activities. The Open Morning is from 9.30am and gives prospective parents, friends and grandparents the opportunity to come and see the school in action.

Please would you let Mrs Morter in the office know if your child can attend. Thank you for your support.

Our curriculum evenings started this week and will continue into next week. These are a good opportunity to find out about any changes to the curriculum in your child’s year group. Thank you to the Year 1 and 2 parents who attended this week. We look forward to welcoming Nursery and Reception parents next week.
