My name is Bea but my friends like to call me ‘Bumble’. I am 9, but in July I will be 10. I’ve been going to Heath Mount since Nursery. I am so excited to see you, I can’t wait!
I love dancing and I do loads of different styles. Maybe if you like dance I can teach you some? Percivale is the best house! Our House captain is Mr Brown. He is so funny and kind, we have really fun House games and matches.
Twice a week you have games. You will do hockey, netball and in the summer you have cricket. My favourite lesson is drama because I love dance and acting, you also get to play games. I am not very good at maths but my teachers are so helpful. I know how scary it is to move up to Year 3 but don’t be nervous,
Lower School is the best. I cannot wait to see you and look after you really well as someone you can trust and play with.
I’m so proud to be your buddy!!
Bea B-P
Dear Year 2 Buddy,
Dear Year 2 Buddy,
My name is Scarlett and I’m 10 years old. I’m in Year 5 and I started in Nursery, which means I’ve been at Heath Mount for 7 years – and I’ve loved every year!
Hi! I am James and I’m really happy to have you as my buddy. I’m 10 and I love, love, love to play football and I like doing art and I am really funny. At school, I will always be playing football – my team is ARSENAL! The best team, I think! My favourite two foods are cucumbers and flaming hot spicy Doritos, the best kind. I would love to know if you like sports and what food you like to eat?
I’m in Tristram, which is the best House! Sport is definitely my favourite lesson. I love hockey most because it is really quick and fun, but I still adore the other sports too! I hope you will enjoy learning to play hockey in Year 3. I also enjoy running a lot! I’m really happy that I have the teachers that I do for maths and English because sometimes I struggle and they’re always there for me – and same with all the Lower School teachers!
The Lower School is quite a change although it is quite small. You will be welcomed with a big smile from
Mrs Nightingale, who is Head of the Lower School. She is really nice. I hope you are really excited about being in Tristram. We will be having so much fun doing all the House Matches and games. We are really good and hopefully we can keep winning and having lots of fun. I can’t wait to meet you and show you around.
When I moved from Year 2 to Year 3, I was a little scared but as soon as I met my teacher I wasn’t worried at all. So I know that you don’t need to have any fears. I know you’re going to have so much fun in the Lower School! Please remember that if you are worried or you need any help I will always be here for you! I’m proud to be your buddy and I can’t wait to see you!

Dear Year 2 Buddy,
Best wishes,
My name is Sara. I am 9 right now but by the time we meet each other, I will be 10. Moving to Lower School can be a bit scary at first, but the Lower School teachers are incredibly nice!! There are 3 houses; Tristram (the best house of course!) Percivale and Galahad. Each Head of House has a different trait. Miss Green, Head of Tristram, always encourages people on. Mr Brown, Head of Percivale, always makes sure that Percivale wins! And Mr Kimberley, Head of Galahad is so, so funny!
My favourite subjects are: DT, Art and Drama. What are yours? I also LOVE reading, it brings you to a whole
new world! Do you like reading? My favourite part of Year 2 was finding out who my Buddy was – it was so exciting!! What are you looking forward to about being in Year 3? The things I loved about Year 3 were the matches. I am not a very sporty kind of person but knowing that there was a match coming up kept me going!
I am so excited to meet you once Lockdown is over!!

Dear Year 2 Buddy,
Hello! My name is Grace and I have been at Heath Mount for almost 2 years and I have loved being part of the Heath Mount family. Writing this email to you has been the highlight of my years at Heath Mount!
I am in Percivale, the best House by far! The leader, Mr Brown is sure to always leave you in fits of giggles, I’m sure you will adore him. My favourite subjects are English, art and drama! I also like maths, but it isn’t one of my favourites. When I’m not in school I love to do art and crosswords. I also love netball, biking and reading – I have so many books by my bed that you won’t believe it!
I can’t wait to finally meet you and find out more about you! Keep on staying positive through this tough time. I’m so proud to be your buddy! I will stick to you in the playground if you don’t feel safe...but that won’t happen as Heath Mount is as safe as anything!
From your Best Buddy,
Grace W
