Yoga time!

We love Monday Mindfulness and Thoughtful Thursdays!

The yoga mats have arrived in Pre-Prep and Years 1 and 2 have wasted no time in finding their inner zen and trying out some new postures. Our weekly mindfulness and yoga sessions - which focus on relaxing breathing and mindfulness techniques - are proving calming additions to the busy weekly timetable. Wellbeing benefits include improved resilience, confidence and concentration.  As part of our holistic approach, these sessions help the children to build up a 'mental health toolkit' so they know how to manage stress and anxiety.  During Children's Mental Health Week we hosted assemblies and workshops on this year's theme: 'Finding Your Brave'.  Pre-Prep children wrote 'feelings diaries',  recreated the classic story Owl Babies using puppets and sang along to 'This Is Me' from The Greatest Showman!
