News & Events

  • The harmonies soared at our charity 'Choral Spectacular' last night as Heath Mount's choirs proved that singing together really does bring joy! We were honoured to be joined by host Pam Rhodes, who kept us thoroughly entertained between songs, and acclaimed soprano Susan Parkes who treated us some of her most passionate repertoire. Guest choir, Letchworth Community Voices, also contributed to a fantastic programme of choral showstoppers. A big thank you to Pam, Susan, Mr Fisher, Ms Morris, our singers, musicians and the Letchworth Free Church for making the evening possible. We were thrilled to have a full house and would like to thank everyone who bought tickets and donated to our Zambia charity projects. We hope you felt a spring in your step as you left! #choralmusic #choir #community #singing

  • Huge congratulations to the seven pupils who have been awarded prestigious academic scholarships to their senior schools. The results mark our best ever number of academic scholarship awards! Awarding schools are @oundleschool, @thebishopsstortfordcollege, @haileyburyuk and @uppinghamschool. We are immensely proud of the way these Year 8 pupils have committed to their scholarship enrichment programme over the past 18 months. They have received specialist support from our Heads of Department in preparation for the rigorous examinations and we are grateful to those members of staff as well as the pupils' parents who have provided support at home. To find out more about our scholarship pathways in Years 7&8, please see our website or clink on the link in bio. #scholarship #seniorschool #enrichment #academic #pathway #hertford #privateschool #independentschool @tatlerschools @goodschoolsguide @muddystilettosschools @muddyhertsbeds @independentschoolparent

  • We are looking forward to welcoming prospective families to our summer term Open Morning on Friday, 8th May from 9-11am. It's an ideal chance to feel the buzz of a normal school day, to explore our beautiful grounds and facilities and to find out about different entry points throughout the school from Pre-Nursery (age 2+) up to Year 7 (age 11+). Our Year 8 tour guides will be giving their unique insights into life at Heath Mount and there's the chance to meet the Headmaster and teaching staff over refreshments in the main mansion house. You can find us on the A602 just outside Hertford in Woodhall Park, SG14 3NG. Families join us from across Hertfordshire, including popular commuter locations such as Welwyn Garden City, Hatfield, Potters Bar, Goffs Oak, Cuffley, Cheshunt as well as Greater London boroughs such as Enfield. If you would like to learn more about transport options, please contact our Admissions department by calling 01920 832916. Unable to make the Open Morning? Our Registrar, Louise Cook, would be delighted to book you a private tour on a weekday to suit you. Please email registrar@heathmount.org or visit our website to fill in our enquiry form. #openmorning #privateschool #hertfordshire #hertford #northlondon #commuterbelt #countryschool #nursery #enfield #pottersbarmums

  • One of our 12-year-old pupils is taking on three incredibly demanding physical challenges in aid of @blisscharity ! Tony, Year 7, is aiming to complete the Yorkshire Three Peaks in 12 hours this weekend, the 24 hour Three Peaks Challenge (Ben Nevis. Scafell Pike & Snowdon) in May and a triathlon in June. "I'm doing this to raise money for a neonatal charity Bliss, which is really important to me because I was born prematurely," he says. "When I was a baby, I needed special care, and the doctors and nurses helped me grow strong enough to take on challenges like this (even if my parents think I've gone a bit over the top!). Now I want to give something back and help other babies and families who need that same support. I'll be training hard (and probably complaining about it a bit), but I'm determined to finish - for a really good cause." We are so proud of Tony and wish him the best of luck as he tackles the summits of Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside & Ingleborough this weekend. He would greatly appreciate the Heath Mount community getting behind him, please visit his JustGiving page to donate. https://www.justgiving.com/page/silva-zenopian-yanouski-6?utm_medium=FR&utm_source=CL&utm_campaign=lc_frp_share_transaction_fundraiser_page_donation_received_-_nth_donation
