We offer weekday private tours with Mr Gillam, Headmaster, for prospective families looking for places in Nursery up to Year 7.
Yesterday, we were able to bring together our three @iapsuk teams who achieved two golds and a silver at this year's national netball finals. Headmaster, Mr Gillam, congratulated the girls on achieving the best netball results in the school's history, and paid tribute to coaches Sophie Meister and Katie Brooking. Over the past three years, Heath Mount School have not only qualified for every single national IAPS netball final in every age group, but achieved 5 national titles, 2 silvers and 1 bronze. It's a phenomenal record, and recognises how far our netball coaching programme has developed under the leadership of Miss Meister. Despite the accolades, Miss Meister reminded the girls that is is the friendships they have built that are what count the most. #sportingexcellence #netballfamily #passionforsport #friendship #heathmountfamily #teamworkmakesthedreamwork @schoolsshow @goodschoolsguide @tatlerschools
Heath Mount teachers are known for going the extra mile when it comes to bringing learning to life, and Ms Godman is no exception. Our inspirational Head of Latin spent her holiday making replica versions of a Roman 'groma', a surveying tool that helped the Romans mark out straight roads. This morning, Ms Godman distributed togas (for added authenticity!) and showed her Year Latin 6 students how to count out 'pedes' (heel to toe steps) and a 'passus' (pace). After a demonstration in how to use the groma, the children were challenged to mark out a straight road of 20 passus long and an atrium of 50 pedes per side. Year 6 quickly realised that the groma wasn't an ideal tool for windy conditions, but they had great fun working in their teams as Roman surveyors! Latin remains a hugely popular language choice for many of our pupils in Year 6 and above. Want to learn more about our broad and exciting curriculum? Prospective families are warmly invited to join us at our upcoming Open Morning on Friday, 8th May or to book a private tour with the Headmaster. Please see link in bio to book. #STEM #roman #groma #latin #education #curriculum @tatlerschools @goodschoolsguide
We are looking forward to welcoming former pupils and their families at our upcoming Alumni Day on Saturday, 16th May. In addition to a delicious lunch and the chance to re-connect with school friends and staff, we will be hosting a special alumni cricket match in memory of former Head Boy Freddie Ewer. We are delighted that members of Freddie's family will be joining us along with some former @oundleschool pupils. The first innings will take place at 11am before breaking for lunch and finishing in the afternoon. There's still a chance to sign up for the event. If you would like to take part in the cricket, please indicate this on the booking form (available in the alumni section of our website) or email alumni@heathmount.org to contact our Head of Alumni, Simon Pay. #heathmountfamily #alumni
