Congratulations to five of our year 8 pupils who have been awarded prestigious music scholarships to their senior schools. They have all shown such dedication and made invaluable contributions to the vibrant music scene at Heath Mount and we couldn't be prouder of them. The awarding schools are @thebishopsstortfordcollege, @haileyburyuk, @leyscambridge and @sasherts. We hope that their love of music and performance continues to flourish and look forward to hearing how their musical journey progresses in the future. All five pupils have taken part in our 2 year Music Scholars Programme which develops their technical ability, enhances their theoretical understanding and helps them grow into confident performers. They have enjoyed individual mentorship with our Director of Music, two free instrumental lessons per week as well as music theory, enrichment outings and regular opportunities to perform in concerts, services and assemblies. Adding to our 'marvellous Monday' of sporting news, our U10 netballers won the @charterhousesch netball tournament yesterday and didn't drop a single game. There were big smiles all round as they finished 6-3 at the final whistle in the final match against Hoe Bridge. Our Cross Country Squad enjoyed a successful afternoon at the @westbrook_hay competition yesterday. The U11 boys, U11 girls and U13 girls all won their team sections together with two individual golds, one silver and a bronze place finish. 2nd place in the National @iapsuksport u12 Netball Cup final! So proud of this talented team who greatly deserve today's accolade - we can't wait to celebrate with them in school tomorrow! The girls stormed into the Cup tier following wins against Farleigh, Clifton College, Seaford College and Halstead St Andrews before securing their semi-final spot with a 13-8 win against Bishop's Stortford College. They held their nerve in the semis, securing a place in the final after a 10-7 victory against Bromsgrove. It was a thrilling final match and the girls gave it their all. Congratulations to the impressive @hurst_prep for winning the tournament!
