First day of summer term 2026 has been a memorable one, not least because our U11 girls were crowned IAPS National Netball Champions! This special team achieved an unbeaten run to the final against @orchardhouseschool, clinching victory with a thrilling 11-7 win. Our coaches couldn't have been prouder of the way the girls supported one another on their big day and throughout the months of extra training prior to the national finals. It was clear to see what strong bonds they have made as a group and their friendship and positive attitudes shone through. Huge congratulations to the girls who have made Heath Mount history by winning the title in this age group for the first time, and a special well done to Emily for winning player of the final. It's certainly been another extraordinary year for Heath Mount netball under the inspired leadership of Miss Meister. Last term also saw our U13 netballers achieve the national IAPS title (for the third year running) and our U12 team achieve silver in their IAPS final. We are grateful to @kentcollegepembury for hosting us today and to the @iapsuksport team for a brilliant tournament. Most of all, thank you to coaches Miss Meister and Miss Brooking for their hard work preparing the team for this moment and giving them the self belief to reach the top. Finally, a heartfelt thank you to the loyal parents and family members who have turned out to cheer the girls on at each stage of the competition. We can't wait to welcome back to all of our pupils tomorrow! There's so much to look forward to this term including cricket season, residential adventures, our charity Colour Run, concerts, plays, House challenge, a brilliant programme of after-school clubs, and, of course, our upcoming dance show. This term also marks the final chapter at Heath Mount for our exceptional Year 8 cohort and we wish them every success and happiness for their final few months with us. We hope they make the most of every moment. It's going to be an exciting first few weeks and we look forward to helping each child make progress and achieve new goals. It was a great pleasure to host the Hertford and Ware School Sports Partnership Cross Country event today on the beautiful @woodhallestate.uk. We welcomed pupils from 24 local primary schools across the morning and afternoon sessions and it was a wonderful sight to see them racing off across the fields on a gloriously sunny day. A huge well done to all of the runners who took part and thank you to their teachers, as well as parents and supporters, for joining us and helping to build a fantastic atmosphere for the children. Events like this wouldn't be possible without the support of the Hertford and Ware School Sports Partnership staff, the Woodhall Estate, our wonderful grounds team and the brilliant Year 12 sports leaders from @richardhaleschool. Congratulations to the 10 Heath Mount girls who have represented U13 Hertfordshire County Hockey this season. Yesterday, they competed in the end of season East Region County tournament, where Herts finished a strong 3rd in the Cup & 1st place in the Plate competition. A special "well done" to Amber and Darcey for being named Herts Players of the day!
