We offer weekday private tours with Mr Gillam, Headmaster, for prospective families looking for places in Nursery up to Year 7.
Our hardworking Year 8s began their post-exam celebrations on Friday with a delicious brunch on the Headmaster's Lawn. Our fantastic catering department served up savoury croissants, mini pastries, muffins and smoothies which all went down a treat! Monday marks the start of the Year 8 Leavers' Programme which includes trips to Thorpe Park and Yorkshire as well as a film-making workshop with One Day Film School and drama, dance, drumming, cooking and crafts. It's time to make every last day count as they prepare to move on from Heath Mount at the end of term.
A huge well done to our Year 1 and 2 pupils for their celebration of summertime in the Performing Arts Centre this morning. We were all 'walking on sunshine' afterwards! Parents and grandparents were treated to brilliantly humorous poems and uplifting songs as well as recitals from our Year 2 recorder, brass, violin and cello groups who all performed with great poise and confidence. It was lovely to witness how much progress our youngest instrumentalists have made this year. As Mr Fisher noted, ensemble singing and playing is at the heart of the Heath Mount music scene, bringing a great sense of teamwork and fulfilment to all involved. We're looking forward to seeing many of our current Year 1 pupils join our group sessions and individual instrumental music lessons next year. #prepreplife #music #performingarts #privateschool #hertford #enrichment
Yesterday, eight girls from Years 3 and 4 made their way to @queenswoodschool for a fun festival of football. Together with a host of girls from other schools, they took part in drills and match play situations in mixed teams. Whilst there were no prizes on offer, the girls demonstrated fantastic effort and enthusiasm throughout, with three of the group being recognised for their endeavours with a medal. A big thank you to the @queenswoodsport department and well done to each of our future Russos-in-waiting! #girls #football #privateschool #sport #hertfordshire
We were very proud of the group of Year 6 & 7 girls who competed in the U13 Cricket County Cup at @haileyburyuk yesterday. They were up against a host of state and independent schools and performed superbly, growing in confidence as a team with each game. They finished 4th in the final standings after a nail-biting match in the 3rd place play-off against Bishop's Stortford College. Well done, team! A big thank you to photographer Mandy Davies @daviesmd61 for capturing such super photos!
