Reception pupils hosted their very own 'Summer Festival' yesterday to celebrate the end of a very successful year. They decorated bunting, posters and tin cans for the stalls and proudly wore their tie-die t-shirts and crowns that they had made especially for the occasion. There were beaming smiles all round as the children enjoyed their special day. All of our boarders came together to celebrate the end of another fun year of boarding on Monday evening. As well as a delicious BBQ, the children enjoyed a host of inflatable games and, despite the heat, even slipped into some sumo costumes for a quick wrestle! Thankfully, an ice cream van was on hand to help everyone cool down. Enjoy looking at some of the fantastic images taken by Mr Mann. With just two days of term left, we'd like to say a big thank you to our House parents Mr Elliott and Mr & Mrs Mann as well as Matron, the catering team and all of our boarding assistants for looking after the pupils and giving them a taste of independence away from home. It's an emotional moment for some of our Year 8 pupils who have been boarding with us for several years, they will be missed! We are thrilled to reveal that our Year 6 swim squad have won the Herts Swim League in their age category, finishing top of the league table after a series of outstanding performances! They also won gold in both relay events: 4 x 25m Freestyle Relay and Medley Relay. Competing against 20 independent schools from Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire, all of our swimmers from Years 4–6 and Years 7–8 represented the school with incredible determination, skill and team spirit. Congratulations also go to our individual gold medal winners: Charlie P – 25m Butterfly & 100m Individual Medley (Year 6) George R – 50m Breaststroke (year 6) Izaak W – 50m Breaststroke (Year 8) We are incredibly proud of all our swimmers for their hard work, commitment and sportsmanship throughout the competition. There were so many wonderful performances to savour at this year's Summer Concert which featured every single one of our Prep School orchestras, bands, ensembles and choirs. From our youngest performers in Year 3 to our highly accomplished music scholars in Year 8, everyone showed a passion for making music.
