News & Events

  • Our athletes delivered an exceptional set of performances at the East Area Prep School Athletics Championships, bringing home a phenomenal 10 medals: 6 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze, while securing 8 National Finals qualifications. Leading the way were our six East Regional Champions: Charlie (U12 1200m), Romilly (U13 Hurdles), Zura (U13 100m), Billy (U13 shot put), William (U13 200m) and the U13 boys relay team. They all achieved gold medals and a coveted place at the National Finals. Silver medals and national qualification were also achieved by Florie (U13 javelin) and Lucas (U13 hurdles). There were further podium finishes for Billy (U13 javelin) and Poppy (U13 long jump), who both earned bronze medals, while several other athletes recorded impressive top five finishes. To have 6 regional champions, 2 runners-up and 8 National Finals qualifiers is a remarkable achievement and reflects the hard work, commitment and talent across the squad and our coaching team. A huge congratulations to all who competed and the very best of luck to our national finalists who will compete again at the Alexandra Stadium in Birmingham on July 1st. #athletics #prepschoollife #privateschool #hertford #eastregion #passionforsport

  • Huge congratulations to Charlie who is the new @iapsuk u11 50m butterfly champion and broke the current record, and to Billy who won silver in the u12 breaststroke, just 0.01 seconds off gold! We're so proud of all of our finalists who represented Heath Mount in the Olympic pool at yesterday's national IAPS swimming finals, their commitment has been truly remarkable. @iapsuksport

  • Our hardworking Year 8s began their post-exam celebrations on Friday with a delicious brunch on the Headmaster's Lawn. Our fantastic catering department served up savoury croissants, mini pastries, muffins and smoothies which all went down a treat! Monday marks the start of the Year 8 Leavers' Programme which includes trips to Thorpe Park and Yorkshire as well as a film-making workshop with One Day Film School and drama, dance, drumming, cooking and crafts. It's time to make every last day count as they prepare to move on from Heath Mount at the end of term.

  • A huge well done to our Year 1 and 2 pupils for their celebration of summertime in the Performing Arts Centre this morning. We were all 'walking on sunshine' afterwards! Parents and grandparents were treated to brilliantly humorous poems and uplifting songs as well as recitals from our Year 2 recorder, brass, violin and cello groups who all performed with great poise and confidence. It was lovely to witness how much progress our youngest instrumentalists have made this year. As Mr Fisher noted, ensemble singing and playing is at the heart of the Heath Mount music scene, bringing a great sense of teamwork and fulfilment to all involved. We're looking forward to seeing many of our current Year 1 pupils join our group sessions and individual instrumental music lessons next year. #prepreplife #music #performingarts #privateschool #hertford #enrichment
