News & Events

  • Our final House event of the year, House Challenge, brought together all pupils from Years 2-8 for a morning of fun activities, putting their teamwork to the test. It was clear to see House spirit on display, with everyone encouraging one another in their House crews. Congratulations to Woodhall for winning the most points! After adding up all the House Points from the academic year, however, it was Sacombe who won the coveted House Cup for 2025-2026! Well done to our House Captains for leading Hatfield, Knebworth, Sacombe and Woodhall and helping to build House loyalty and friendships across the year groups.

  • The annual parents versus Year 8 leavers cricket match was a brilliant event with plenty of smiles, cheers, ice cream and just enough competitive tension. After an evening of heroic batting, dramatic fielding and at least one run-out that may still be under appeal, the parents somehow emerged victorious by 12 runs. The pupils were magnificent opponents and showed plenty of skill, spirit and restraint in not laughing too loudly at the adults' running between the wickets. Amid all the laughter there was certainly an emotional edge to watching them all play together one last time. #heathmountfamily

  • Speech Day 2026 will be remembered for its humour and heartwarming moments, not to mention taking place in the midst of a historic heatwave! We were delighted to welcome Mr Rory Bremner as our guest speaker who duly raised the roof with his famous impressions and, as an advocate for neurodiversity, also spoke passionately about the benefits of thinking differently. A huge thank you to @rorybremner for such a memorable speech and for helping to hand out the many awards to our Year 8s. During the afternoon, we said an emotional farewell to several long-standing members of staff, our Chair of Governors Mrs Hodson and families whose connection to Heath Mount dates back well over a decade. Heath Mount's Head Girl and Head Boy delivered excellent speeches, taking us on a nostalgic journey back in time to recount their experiences from Nursery onwards. As is tradition, each Year 8 leaver stood on stage to hear their scroll read out - detailing their many accomplishments and the impact they have made on our school community. The afternoon ended with Bax Choir singing 'The Leavers' Prayer' before everyone headed to the Fountain Lawn for strawberries and cream. Wishing all of our families a very happy summer holiday and we look forward to hearing how our Class of 26 leavers get on their first term of senior school in September! #rorybremner #speechday #leavers #classof26 #privateschool #hertford #independentschool #schoolmemories @tatlerschools @goodschoolsguide @muddyhertsbeds @talkeducation @iapsuk

  • Reception pupils hosted their very own 'Summer Festival' yesterday to celebrate the end of a very successful year. They decorated bunting, posters and tin cans for the stalls and proudly wore their tie-die t-shirts and crowns that they had made especially for the occasion. There were beaming smiles all round as the children enjoyed their special day. We hope they have a wonderful holiday and can't wait to welcome them back to Pre-Prep for life in Year 1! #prepreplife #memories #childhood #cherishingchildhood #hertford #hertfordmums #hertforddads #reception
