There were so many wonderful performances to savour at this year's Summer Concert which featured every single one of our Prep School orchestras, bands, ensembles and choirs. From our youngest performers in Year 3 to our highly accomplished music scholars in Year 8, everyone showed a passion for making music. It was clear to see the many months of work that have gone into producing such an epic and diverse programme. Teamwork makes the dream work! Huge congratulations to our U13 relay team who put in a phenomenal run to become NATIONAL 4 X 100M CHAMPIONS at the National Prep Schools Championships yesterday. Having secured the regional title last month, the fab foursome achieved a very convincing win at the Alexander Stadium in Birmingham, cheered on by our Director of Sport, Mr Elliott, and athletics coach Mr Russell. There was further success in the U13 100m where Zura secured a superb silver medal and in the U13 80m hurdles where Lucas picked up a well deserved bronze medal. Also finishing in the top 5 in the country was Billy who achieved 4th place in U13 shot put. Well done to the whole squad for representing the school so brilliantly and supporting each other. Congratulations to Mrs Sharp and Miss Gregson who, on the weekend, became @thepwr Champions, helping @saracenswomen to a record fourth title after beating their London rivals, Trailfinders, in the final at Twickenham Stoop. They now belong to the most successful side in English women's rugby! Today, they brought in their champions medals to show their excited pupils - many of whom had turned out to cheer them on in the match. Reception pupils showed great determination and concentration as they took part in a special cycling workshop with Herts Balance & Ride. We host this annual session as part of our Early Years framework for physical development, helping our youngest pupils learn an essential life skill, gain confidence and work on their balance and coordination skills.
