Congratulations to the 10 Heath Mount girls who have represented U13 Hertfordshire County Hockey this season. Yesterday, they competed in the end of season East Region County tournament, where Herts finished a strong 3rd in the Cup & 1st place in the Plate competition. A special "well done" to Amber and Darcey for being named Herts Players of the day!

Our American adventure not only included astronaut training and some incredible, hands-on learning about Space, but also an exploration of the Florida ecosystem. Pupils were excited to take a thrilling airboat ride along the Everglades, a unique, subtropical ecosystem home to over 40 mammal species, 360 bird species, and diverse reptiles, including the endangered Florida panther, American alligator, and American crocodile! There was also time for a very special visit to Crystal River where we were lucky enough to swim alongside manatees and learn about conservation projects to protect these gentle giants. Congratulations to Mrs Schilling who helped the England Women's Over 35 team to win gold at the Masters Indoor Hockey World Cup over the holidays! 15 years after she last played for England, she was thrilled to be pulling on the England shirt once again, proudly taking on the role of Vice-Captain. The Schilling household had double cause for celebration at the World Cup as Clarissa's husband Rob also won gold in the Men's Over 40s tournament! "The real privilege was having my children in the crowd," she says. "Sharing this tournament experience with my husband, who was also playing, and experiencing the incredible atmosphere of Masters hockey was the icing on the cake. Hockey is a uniquely wonderful sport; one of my teammates' mothers was playing in the O65s, representing her country for the first time - now that's inspiring! A sport for life."
