We offer weekday private tours with Mr Gillam, Headmaster, for prospective families looking for places in Nursery up to Year 7.
Welcome back to Michaelmas Term 2026! And an especially warm welcome to our new starters and their parents who have officially started their Heath Mount journey with us today. We were proud to see our new Year 8s step up and join the welcome committee this morning, helping the younger children with their kit bags and showing them where to go. They did a great job of calming any first day nerves. Here's to a brilliant term ahead full of wonder, learning, friendship and fun. Let's go! #happyroots #aspecialplacetogrow #heathmountfamily #privateschool #hertford #backtoschool

The Buntingford route is in addition to our Cheshunt route, giving more families a stress-free start and end to the day. Keep your eyes peeled! Our brand-new films showcasing life in Heath Mount's Nursery and Pre-Prep are coming soon. A huge thank you to talented filmmaker Jasper Koryczan @jjkory who beautifully captured the joy, energy and curiosity that fill our youngest pupils' school days. The early years play a vital role in shaping a child's future, not only cognitive, but socially and emotionally too. We hope these films offer a glimpse into what makes Heath Mount such a special place to begin that journey, building strong foundations for lifelong learning and helping children grow into confident, resilient young people. While most of us take time to relax over the summer holidays, Heath Mount pupil Tony, aged 12, took on the Three Peaks Challenge, climbing the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales: Ben Nevis (1,345m), Scafell Pike (978m) and Snowdon (1,085m). We were very proud to hear that he completed the challenge in 22hours and 43 minutes! Tony's epic feat, in aid of @blisscharity, follows his previous challenges including a triathlon and scaling the Yorkshire 3 Peaks. So far he has raised over £1,500 to support neonatal charity Bliss. He first climbed Ben Nevis at just 8 years old and has been an absolute inspiration to his peers and teachers with his feats of physical endurance and commitment to helping others. Well done, Tony, we look forward to hearing all about your adventures at the start of Michaelmas term! #ThreePeakChallenge
