England 6 Nations Call-Up for Miss Gregson

Year 3 Teacher to Join the Red Roses

There has been great excitement at Heath Mount with the news that our trainee teacher Sydney Gregson has been called up to the England Rugby squad for the Women's Six Nations' Championship which kicks off later this month. Sydney, who plays for Saracens and has 3 England caps, will gain her qualified teacher status this June and has been hugely popular addition to our Year 3 team and sports department.

Speaking about the Six Nations, Sydney says: "I'm really excited for the opportunity to be involved in such a talented squad. It's a really competitive environment and I'm loving every minute. It's an amazing feeling to be back involved with England and I'm so grateful to Heath Mount for allowing me the time to pursue it."

Needless to say everyone at Heath Mount will be rooting for Miss Gregson and the Red Roses!

The Red Roses open their campaign with a trip to Parma to take on Italy before hosting Wales at Ashton Gate, Bristol, on Saturday 30 March (kick-off 16.45 GMT).

Edinburgh’s Hive Stadium will be the venue for England’s visit to Scotland ahead of a return to London to face Ireland at Twickenham Stadium on Saturday 20 April (kick-off 14.15 BST).

The final game of the Championship sees the Red Roses take on last year’s runners-up France on Saturday 27 April (kick-off 16.45 BST) at Stade Chaban-Delmas, Bordeaux.
