Year 6's Royal Academy of Art Success

Ceramic Ducks To Feature At The Young Artists' Summer Show

We are thrilled to reveal that Year 6's collaborative pottery piece has been accepted into this year’s Royal Academy Young Artists' Summer Show. Selected from thousands of entries, 'Nice Weather For Ducks' was created in response to Renoir’s Umbrellas and artwork linked to weather. The ducks will be arranged in a circle to suggest a pond - inspired by the Richard Long.

It is the third time ceramic work from Heath Mount has been chosen to be displayed at the RA Young Artists' Summer Show which is now in its fifth year and features artwork by children aged 4–19. Artworks are judged by a panel of artists and arts professionals, with selected artworks displayed online and on-site at the Royal Academy of Arts.

Each Year 6 child is invited to attend the Private View over the weekend of the 15th-16th July along with a parent while the public are invited to visit from July 18th to August 20th.
