Three Teams Achieve First Place At Annual Beechwood Park Event
We took 36 runners to Beechwood Park last Friday for their annual Cross Country Event. Some 16 schools were taking part in the six age group categories and our boys and girls produced some great performances to finish as team winners in three races.
The afternoon started with our Under 9s winning both the girls' and boys' races. Xa G finished 1st in the girls' race, closely followed by Emily B (2nd), Annabelle B (4th) and Livia P (5th). For the boys, William B won first place with Charlie P in 3rd place.
The U13 girls also excelled, placing equal first with Queenswood in the team race, with Georgina N picking up the individual bronze medal.
In the Under 11s category, meanwhile, we finished 2nd place with the boys in the team event and 3rd with the girls, While the U13 boys team finished 4th .
Overall a very enjoyable afternoon and a promising start to the season. A number of the runners will be taking part in the Hertfordshire schools championships this weekend and we wish them luck!
