Orchestras & Ensembles Concert

Heath Mount Symphony Orchestra Plays Tchaikovsky Symphony No 5 in our Performing Arts Centre

Pupils Showcase Musical Talent On A Night To Remember

Last night's Orchestras & Ensembles Concert was an astonishing evening that covered everything from Metallica to Vivaldi and ended with a highly accomplished, seven-minute performance of Tchaikovsky's Symphony No.5!

We heard from eleven of Heath Mount's extra-curricular instrumental groups which featured children from Years 3-8.  The ambitious and varied programme showcased the emerging talent of our youngest performers in the Junior Strings, Intermediate Orchestra and Wind Band through to our most experienced and senior musicians in our Symphony Orchestra, Jazz Band, Concert Band and Chamber Strings. The evening also showcased the incredible range of instruments that are studied at Heath Mount, including the oboe, trombone, saxophone, guitar, cello, violin, drums and flute.

Congratulations to all our performers who have spent many hours rehearsing for the concert and thank you to Mr Fisher, Head of Music, and his team for inspiring the children to take their music-making to the next level!
