Admissions Process

We welcome applications from children between the ages of 3 and 13 irrespective of gender, race, religion, culture or disability, and as a non-selective school also welcome children of different abilities, as long as we feel we can add value to their education.

Pre-Prep School Admissions

Prospective pupils may be registered with us from any time after birth and we welcome the majority of our children to our Nursery in the September following their third birthday. We are not a selective school and do not assess children starting at this stage though we do encourage early registration as places are limited and our Pre-Prep is often oversubscribed.  Please see more information on Nursery sessions in our Nursery Parent Handbook.

We usually have a smaller number of spaces available as our children enter Reception. We do not formally assess at this age, but will invite your child in to spend time with us to ensure that they have the social and developmental skills to access the Early Years Curriculum.

Though Year 1 and 2 are usually over-subscribed, we do occasionally have spaces and where this is the case, we will invite your child in to spend a taster morning with their peer group. They will join in all the fun, work and activity, during which an informal assessment will take place, as well as a maths and English test. Please give us a call to check on availability of spaces. We are always happy to add your child to the waiting list should space not be available straight away.

Prep School Admissions

For entry into the Prep School for Year 3 and above, assessments in maths and English will usually take place in addition to an observational assessment to ensure that your child is able to access our broad curriculum. References will also be sought from your child’s current school.  Provided we have space in our school, we do accept children at any stage from Year 3 up to Year 8 entry.
