In 1997 Heath Mount was the first independent school to use caterers Holroyd Howe, a strong relationship that continues to this day.
Jenny Jacobs and her team take a huge amount of pride and responsibility in providing the pupils with fabulous ‘home made’ meals and nutritious, seasonal and varied meal choices. Everyday a main meal, at least one vegetarian option, snack bar and varied salad bar is available.
Children are encouraged to choose the main option with at least one fresh vegetable. The snack bar, salad bar and cold proteins can also be mixed to make up a healthy plate.
Fruit is to hand every day at break times and as a lunch dessert option. We also offer a hot or cold dessert of the day, jelly, tropical fruit pots and in house made EasyYo yoghurt with our nut free granola. Afternoon break of ‘little tea’ will be a homemade cake, biscuit, sandwich, flap jack or fresh fruit. Milk, juice or water is provided to drink.
Boarders breakfasts include fruit juice, wholegrain cereals, toast, honey and preserves with dried fruit and seeds to add as cereal or yoghurt toppers. Bacon and egg, the now famous ‘Heath Mount Muffin’, homemade pancakes or quality viennoiserie pastries add to the daily changing hot option, with fresh fruit slices to balance things out.
Boarders’ theme nights are fun for all, whether they involve a chocolate fountain, Sushi demonstration and workshop or even a medieval banquet supper, with circus acts to complement the food and décor.
