Years 1 & 2

Getting the basics right is essential if children are to meet their potential as they get older. Literacy and numeracy are regarded to be of fundamental importance and as they move into Year 1 our we focus on these core skills. In maths, children are grouped into three sets to maximise learning and progress. Sets are continually reviewed to ensure each child is working at the correct pace. Our aim is to ensure that our pupils feel happy, secure and excited about school and that they all make exceptional personal progress.

Children are based with their Form Teacher for core subjects whilst specialist teachers are used for Music, French, Pottery, Swimming, Forest School and PE and Games.
