  • Pupils took a walk on the wild side this week as they enjoyed brilliant trips to @woburn_safari and @zslwhipsnadezoo. Year 6's big highlight of the day was spending an hour in the Whipsnade giraffe enclosure, learning fascinating giraffe facts and collecting data on their behaviour. Wilfred, the nine-month-old giraffe who had 'the zoomies,' proved to be the star attraction! At Woburn, Year 4 pupils were thrilled to spot a family of American Black Bears in a tree as well as some sleeping lions, cheeky monkeys and majestic wolves. They also experienced a ride on the Great Woburn Railway and a super birds of prey demonstration! #curriculumday #enrichment

  • This morning our Nursery and Reception pupils were lucky to meet officers from the @mettaskforce Dog Support unit and their talented canine companions. Geoff, a 5-month-old black labrador puppy who is training in forensics, was a huge hit with our youngest children and patiently allowed them to say hello. German Shepherd Bonnie, meanwhile, showed off her super sniffing skills after being challenged to find Mrs Adams' missing lanyard in the playground!

  • "If a child is happy, then everything else will follow," says Headmaster Chris Gillam. A Heath Mount education offers children the chance to grow and learn in a happy, nurturing and fun environment. Find out more at our Whole School Open Morning this Saturday 9.30am - 12noon. We look forward to welcoming you. Register your place on our website at #learningisfun #openmorning #prepschool #nursery #hertfordshire #privateschool

  • Today we're supporting @jeans_for_genes day, wearing denim and donating to this brilliant charity that helps those living with genetic disorders. We're also wearing orange in honour of former Heath Mount pupil Hugh Menai-Davis who sadly passed away two years ago following treatment for Rhabdomyosarcoma. Orange was Hugh's favourite colour and we are raising money for the groundbreaking charity set up in his name @its.neveryoucharity. The charity provides invaluable support to parents of children with cancer and advocates on their behalf. #charityandcommunity #heathmountfamily
