
Pupils win 12 medals and achieve 20 top five finishes!
Heath Mount pupils enjoyed an extraordinarily successful day out at the East of England Athletics Championships today. Five pupils have booked their spaces for the national finals across seven different disciplines after winning gold or silver medals. These fantastic results continue to demonstrate the strength and expertise of our sports' department and our pupils' passion for athletics.

Since the successful update of our PE programme and sports' scholars' programme, our pupils have continued to make strides on the regional and national sporting stage. We have an outstanding team of dedicated staff who run a huge range of extracurricular sports clubs (including athletics training) as well as bespoke coaching in pupils' individual disciplines. Pupils also have the use of our state-of-the-art fitness and conditioning suite to work on their core strength. This year, 25% of pupils in Year 8 have won sports scholarships to their senior schools, including Millfield, Rugby, Uppingham and Haileybury, Oundle and Bishop's Stortford College.
