Our Senior Pupils Put The Fun Into Fundraising!
Every year we ask our senior pupils to devise a stall for our Fun Day to help raise money for our charity initiatives in Zambia. Our senior pupils pulled out all the stops to run fun activities or make crafts to sell. Whether running a tropical photo booth, selling handmade keyrings in House colours or putting themselves in the stocks, children in Years 7 & 8 certainly showed their entrepreneurial flair! We are proud to say they have raised £3,350, with further contributions from staff-run stalls and a raffle pushing the total up to £4,000.
23 of our Year 8 pupils will be seeing their fundraising efforts put to good use when they visit Zambia next week for a 10-day African adventure. The money they raised will help provide essential school and medical items for a local community near the Zambezi.
Active philanthropy is embedded into school life through events such as Fun Day, our House charity fundraisers, charity craft club fairs and Year 6's enterprise in education event. Congratulations to our senior stallholders on their superb fundraising and thank you to everyone who came to support Fun Day.
