U13 Win IAPS National Title Third Year Running
After a heroic final effort from the girls, our U13 netball team became IAPS National Champions on Friday. Incredibly, this is now the third year in a row that our U13s have won this title. The girls were up against some of the best school teams in the country, but they kept the faith and didn't stop until they had brought home the national title!
The team had a brilliant start to the tournament - winning all of four pool games to progress to the quarter final, scoring 12-7 against Brighton College to make it into the last four.
Following their semi-final win against Dean Close, they came face to face with a very strong Millfield team in the final. It was a nail-biting affair that finished 10-10 and went to extra time, but the Heath Mount girls kept the adrenaline going and won 9-2!
We are so proud of the girls and their coaches, Miss Meister and Miss Brooking, who have helped our year 8 pupils prepare so well for this moment.
Their achievement follows hot on the heels of the U12 team who recently won silver at their national finals. We now look forward to seeing how the U11 team get on this week and wish them luck in their final preparations!
